Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Purpose of the Role
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to customers both remotely and on-site across an international region. The role involves installation, maintenance, repair, training, and ongoing support of a range of specialised testing and inspection equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and support technical equipment, ensuring high service standards and customer satisfaction
Provide technical support via hotline, remote access, and on-site visits
Carry out commissioning and installation activities, including customer training
Diagnose and troubleshoot faults, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
Liaise with internal engineering and quality teams to resolve technical issues and report product feedback
Develop and contribute to technical documentation, including manuals and product guides
Act as the main technical point of contact for customers, building strong working relationships
Work independently while collaborating with wider service and technical teams
Travel extensively across the assigned region to support customer requirements
Candidate Requirements
Strong technical background (engineering or equivalent experience)
Knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and basic electronics
Experience with testing, inspection, or similar technical equipment (desirable)
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Hands-on approach with confidence using tools and working in practical environments
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce or similar)
Willingness and ability to travel frequently (up to 75%)
Valid passport and driving licence
