Simply Education are currently recruiting four dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive SEN school in the Chard area.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) thrive within a dynamic, hands-on, and outdoor-focused learning environment.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students both in the classroom and through a variety of outdoor learning activities. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging educational experience that enables every pupil to reach their full potential.

Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, helping them access learning and achieve their individual goals.
Assist with lesson delivery, classroom organisation, and the preparation of learning resources.
Promote positive behaviour, independence, and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day.
Provide pastoral and practical support, including personal care where required.
Support learning beyond the classroom through educational visits, outdoor activities, and enrichment opportunities.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other specialists to help pupils achieve their EHCP targets and maximise their potential.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in outdoor education, outdoor activities, or similar environments
A positive, patient, and proactive approach
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEN
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
What We Offer:
Competitive daily rate of £95-£100 per day.
Full-time position with consistent hours.
Monday to Friday working pattern.
Immediate start available.
A supportive and welcoming school environment.
The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young people's lives.
Ongoing guidance and support from the Simply Education team.
If you're looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same and you can have a real impact on young people's development, we'd love to hear from you.
