Science Technician
A high-performing secondary school in Ealing is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join its Science department from September.

This role is based in a well-respected secondary school in Ealing, recognised for its strong STEM focus and excellent academic outcomes. The successful Science Technician will play a key role in supporting practical science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, ensuring laboratories are fully prepared, well-organised, and safe for student use.

The school places a strong emphasis on practical learning and enquiry-based science teaching in Ealing, providing an excellent environment for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced and hands-on educational setting. Candidates who can demonstrate previous experience working in a school or laboratory environment, strong competency across practical scientific procedures, and the ability to confidently support Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons independently may be eligible for a higher rate of pay.

Responsibilities
Prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical science lessons
Ensure all laboratory resources are maintained, safe, and ready for use
Support teachers during experiments and demonstrations
Manage stock levels, ordering, and organisation of scientific materials
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in labs

Requirements
Previous experience in a school or laboratory setting preferred
Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
Knowledge of scientific equipment and practical experiments
Organised, reliable, and detail-focused approach
Ability to support across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics desirable
