The Opportunity
This is a 14‑month engagement , with around 2 days per week on site. You would be working in a highly regulated environment on complex, high‑impact projects, where robust cost engineering and forecasting are absolutely critical.

What you would be doing
Ensuring the quality and consistency of project cost data by following established procedures and systems
Supporting the preparation, monitoring and control of forecasts and budgets, including change control
Interrogating systems and measuring performance of actual expenditure, including accruals where needed
Producing inputs to cost reports, including trend analysis and early warnings
Supporting detailed SPI, CPI variance and root‑cause analysis and contributing to recovery plans
Helping to create and maintain the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and cost studies using historical data
Providing benchmarking data and trended information to support informed project management decisions
Reviewing manpower productivity, time bookings and resource usage vs plan, highlighting constraints and supporting solutions
What our client is looking for
DV (Developed Vetting) clearance eligible or active.
Proven Cost Engineer experience - confident and self‑sufficient (not someone who needs to be led through the role)
Background in a highly regulated environment (e.g. defence, nuclear, similar)
Strong track record in cost analysis, forecasting and performance measurement
Ideally, experience in the nuclear sector (desirable, not essential)

Hourly Rate: 45.22 - 47.22
