Position Overview: As a Secondary RE Teacher, you will have the opportunity to engage students in thought-provoking discussions about religion, morality, and spirituality. You will guide students in exploring the teachings and traditions of various faiths, fostering an atmosphere of respect, tolerance, and open-mindedness.
Temporary/flexible days
£700 - £900 per week depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver comprehensive and engaging RE lessons that encourage critical thinking and reflection.
Facilitate discussions on religious and ethical issues, encouraging students to express their viewpoints and engage in respectful dialogue.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable exploring their own beliefs and values.
Incorporate multimedia resources, guest speakers, and experiential learning activities to enhance student understanding and engagement.
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate RE concepts into interdisciplinary units and promote cross-cultural understanding.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Teaching certification/license in Secondary Education.
Experience teaching Religious Education or related subjects at the secondary level, with a strong knowledge of curriculum standards and pedagogical approaches.
Deep understanding and appreciation of various religious traditions and the ability to facilitate respectful discussions on religious diversity.
