School Mental Health Assistant - Education and Training - School Mental Health Assistant - Milton Keynes
Are you an aspiring Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or mental health practitioner?
This role is available to start ASAP or from September
Do you have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs and social, emotional, or mental health challenges?
Are you a recent graduate-or soon to graduate-looking to gain hands-on experience working with students with additional needs?
We are seeking a School Mental Health Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Milton Keynes. The school is keen to welcome graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or related fields, particularly those with aspirations toward Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or wider mental health roles.
If you are enthusiastic, resilient, and motivated to make a positive difference, this could be the ideal opportunity for you. Previous experience working with children in any setting is beneficial, but the school places equal value on your passion, attitude, and commitment to supporting vulnerable learners.
Pupils present with a range of needs, including SEMH, autism, and behavioural difficulties. For this reason, the school is looking for individuals who can commit for a minimum of 12 months to provide the consistency and stability their learners rely on.
Interviews are taking place now, so early applications are encouraged.
This is an excellent role for anyone seeking experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in any support capacity within the education and SEND sectors.
