A specialist fire consultancy is seeking a Fire Surveyor to join their expanding team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire Surveyor looking to work on a varied portfolio of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments throughout the Midlands.
The successful Fire Surveyor will undertake site inspections, compartmentation surveys and fire door assessments across a range of existing and newly constructed buildings. The Fire Surveyor will work closely with clients, contractors and fire safety professionals, providing detailed reports and practical recommendations. This Fire Surveyor role offers exposure to high-profile projects and excellent opportunities for career progression. The Fire Surveyor will benefit from ongoing training and support from an experienced technical team.
The Fire Surveyor's Role
The Fire Surveyor will:
Carry out compartmentation surveys and inspections
Conduct fire door surveys and assessments
Produce clear and detailed technical reports
Identify fire safety defects and compliance issues
Liaise with clients and project stakeholders
Travel to sites throughout the Midlands region
The Fire Surveyor
The Fire Surveyor should have:
Experience undertaking fire safety surveys
Knowledge of passive fire protection systems
Understanding of relevant fire safety legislation
Strong report writing skills
Full UK driving licence
FIRAS, FDIS or equivalent qualifications desirable
