Our client, a key player in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a contract role. This position plays a crucial role in a major defence program, which aims to deliver Submarine capability to Australia..

Key Responsibilities:

Specialist in materials and manufacturing, with a focus on ferrous metals.
Understanding heavy plate production methods, ideally including in got and continuous casting.
Ensuring compliance with materials specifications and standards through auditing processes.
Delivering, producing, and/or reviewing experimental test plans.

Job Requirements:

Experience in the manufacturing sector, especially with ferrous metals.
Proficiency in production methods for heavy plate across various industries.
In-depth understanding of auditing processes and material standards assurance.
Ability to develop and assess experimental test plans.
Willingness to work out of hours as required by the programme.
Availability to work from the Abbey Wood office at least three days per week.
