The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for a proven Process Engineer to join one our key clients and be a part of a specialised project team, delivering innovative solutions within a highly regulated environment. This role as a Process Engineer will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience, working on safety-critical nuclear projects.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
Work as part of a small, focused engineering team to deliver key project outputs in line with programme milestones and reporting requirements
Gather and evaluate information on existing systems, including effluent handling routes, ensuring safe and compliant discharge arrangements
Review and assess existing flushing and fluid transfer systems, identifying performance gaps and recommending upgrades or replacements where necessary
Support the design and development of sampling systems for hazardous environments, enabling effective monitoring and analysis
Contribute to the development of safety documentation and present technical solutions at internal reviews and governance forums
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline
Proven experience delivering process design work on complex engineering projects within regulated industries
Strong understanding of fluid systems, including the transfer and handling of hazardous or radioactive liquids
Ability to produce clear technical documentation and reports, including process calculations and design basis documentation
Experience applying safety assessment techniques such as HAZOP, with an awareness of working within strict safety cases
