Key Responsibilities of a CMM Inspector:
* Operate and programme CMM equipment to inspect precision-engineered components
* Create and maintain measurement routines for in-process and final inspection
* Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T requirements
* Produce dimensional inspection reports and measurement records
* Carry out calibration and routine maintenance of inspection equipment
* Investigate and report non-conformances through NCR processes
* Support NPI projects and the introduction of new products
* Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to resolve quality issues
* Ensure measurement systems remain compliant and repeatable
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping within inspection areas
Key Skills of a CMM Inspector:
* Previous experience operating and programming CMM equipment
* Experience with Mitutoyo and/or Aberlink systems desirable
* Strong understanding of GD&T
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience using micrometers, verniers, thread gauges and other inspection equipment
* Knowledge of MSA and Gauge R&R principles desirable
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Good IT skills and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
