Alexander Steele Recruitment continues to partner with an excellent and growing food manufacturing business, supporting them with key appointments across their operation.

We are delighted to be working on the appointment of a Quality Lead for a highly innovative, fast-paced private label food manufacturer that is continuing to invest in both its people and its capabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that is experiencing significant growth and is committed to delivering exceptional standards across quality, food safety and customer satisfaction.

About the Role & Key Accountabilities

Reporting into the Head of Technical, the Quality Manager will play a key role in driving quality standards across the manufacturing operation while leading and developing the quality team.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Leading and motivating the quality team to ensure high standards are consistently achieved.

* Driving a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the site.

* Ensuring compliance with customer, legal and BRCGS requirements.

* Supporting internal and external audits, including customer visits.

* Investigating quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.

* Monitoring site performance against quality KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

* Working closely with production, NPD and technical teams to maintain and improve standards across the business.

* Supporting training and development activities to improve site-wide quality awareness.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have:

* Previous experience within a quality leadership role in food manufacturing.

* Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems and BRCGS standards.

* Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

* A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

* The ability to thrive within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
