We are working with a leading aerospace manufacturing business in Leicester that is continuing to grow following increased customer demand and investment across the site. As a result, the engineering team is expanding and looking to recruit two Maintenance Engineers to support ongoing production and future growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for either an electrically biased or mechanically biased engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and working on technically advanced equipment. The site operates a wide range of CNC machinery, automation systems and robotic cells, ensuring no two days are the same.
The engineering team has built a strong reputation across the business and plays a key role in maintaining production performance, driving continuous improvement and supporting future investment projects.

Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance across CNC machinery, tooling equipment and robotic cells
Respond to machine breakdowns and facility issues to minimise downtime
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
Support continuous improvement and reliability projects across the site
Assist with machinery upgrades, installations and engineering improvements
Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment performance
Support health, safety and facility improvement initiatives
Liaise with contractors and external suppliers where required
Maintain accurate maintenance records and engineering documentation
Skills & Qualifications of a Maintenance Engineer:
Apprentice trained engineer or NVQ Level 3 qualified
Strong maintenance experience within manufacturing or industrial environments
Electrically biased or mechanically biased engineers will be considered
Experience fault finding on production machinery
Knowledge of CNC machinery, automation systems or robotics advantageous
Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and industrial drives
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
18th Edition qualification advantageous but not essential
Mechanical experience such as spindle rebuilds, bearings or precision engineering repairs advantageous

Salary: £48,300
Opportunity to increase earnings to £50,200 within 12 months
4-day working week
No weekend working
Rotating 3-shift pattern:
Tuesday – Friday: 06:00 – 15:30
Monday – Thursday: 12:30 – 22:00
Monday – Thursday: 21:00 – 06:00
Quarterly bonus scheme
Overtime available paid at 1.5x – 2x
