Health & Safety Manager – Refurbishment Projects
London (site-based)
Up to £80,000 + travel to sites
Our client
A well-established and growing refurbishment contractor, delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors in London, is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team. With a strong pipeline of work and a commitment to best practice, they pride themselves on maintaining high safety standards across all sites
The Role
This is a hands-on, site-focused position, working across multiple refurbishment projects in London. You will be responsible for driving health & safety standards, ensuring compliance, and promoting a proactive safety culture on-site.
This is not a desk-based role — you will spend the majority of your time out on projects, engaging directly with site teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee health & safety across multiple refurbishment s
Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
Ensure compliance with current HSE legislation and company policies
Provide guidance and support to site teams and subcontractors
Investigate incidents and implement improvements where required
Deliver toolbox talks and safety training
Work closely with project managers to embed a strong safety culture
About You
Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within the refurbishment sector
Exposure to projects across multiple sectors (e.g. commercial, residential, education, health
care)Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation
NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) preferred
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proactive, visible, and confident in site environments
Full UK driving licence (or ability to travel regularly across London)
