Quality Engineer – Aerospace
Denham | £38,000–£39,000 | Permanent | Days
A globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Denham is looking for a Quality Engineer to join its Inspection and Quality team on a permanent basis.
This is a hands-on role centred around First Article Inspection and patrol inspection activity in a safety-critical manufacturing environment. You'll work alongside inspection, manufacturing and quality colleagues to make sure products meet specification, customer requirements and AS9100 standards — playing a direct part in getting it right first time, every time.
The Role
• Planning and conducting First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements
• Completing, reviewing and signing off FAI reports for assemblies and customer deliverables
• Carrying out patrol inspection audits across manufacturing areas in line with internal procedures
• Producing audit reports, metrics and corrective action tracking for inspection activity
• Raising non-conformance reports where needed and supporting follow-up actions
• Driving continuous improvement within inspection and FAI processes
• Maintaining accurate inspection records and quality data
• Using QMS and business systems to support reporting and analysis
• Supporting the wider inspection team as required
What We're Looking For
• Background in manufacturing or engineering
• Experience in a quality, inspection or quality engineering role
• Solid understanding of AS9100 and AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Confident working with data, reporting and Microsoft Office tools
• At ease in a regulated, safety-critical environment
• Aerospace experience is desirable — but if you have strong quality or inspection experience from another technical manufacturing setting, we'd still like to hear from you
What's on Offer
• £38,000–£39,000
• Permanent role on standard days at a well-established Denham site
• Strong benefits package
• Long-term stability with a highly respected name in aerospace
• Room to develop further across inspection, audit and quality engineering
This is a genuine opportunity to build a long-term career within a business where quality and compliance aren't just buzzwords — they're central to everything that gets made.
