Vehicle Technician

Our client, a reputable family-run independent garage in Mansfield, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their established team. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a qualified professional looking for job security within a supportive environment.

Basic salary up to £37,000 depending on experience

Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30am – 5:30pm (1-hour lunch break)

Working alongside a team of experienced techniciansDuties of a Vehicle Technician:

Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles
Diagnose faults accurately and conduct mechanical repairs
Complete clutch, brake, suspension, and engine work as a Vehicle Technician
Conduct vehicle inspections and identify additional repair requirements
Ensure all work is completed to high standards within agreed timescales
Maintain detailed job records and workshop documentation
Collaborate with fellow technicians to optimise workshop efficiencyRequirements of a Vehicle Technician:

NVQ / IMI Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
Strong diagnostic skills and fault-finding ability
Experience in servicing and repairs, capable of working independently
MOT licence desirable but not essential
Reliable and professional work approach
Ability to work effectively within a team
