Our client is seeking an experienced EHS Advisor to provide expert Environmental, Health & Safety support across major rail projects and operational teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive professional to drive compliance, risk management and continuous improvement within a fast-paced rail project environment. It is a contract postion deemed outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide independent EHS guidance, governance and assurance across projects and business functions
Support compliance with HSE legislation, industry standards and company policies
Advise managers and operational teams on risk management, safe systems of work and CDM requirements
Assist with development of risk assessments, construction phase plans and task briefings
Monitor KPIs, analyse trends and support reporting on EHS performance
Promote behavioural safety initiatives and a positive safety culture
Support audits, incident investigations and lessons learned processes
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, subcontractors and suppliers
Contribute to continuous improvement programmes and business development activities
Job Requirements:
Experience in an EHS / HSEQ Advisor role within rail infrastructure and projects
Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and CDM regulations
Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills
Able to work independently while supporting operational delivery teams
Passionate about driving safety culture and continual improvement
Relevant NEBOSH or equivalent qualification preferred
Current PTS/Sentinel accreditation preferred
