Our client, a family-run dealership located in Billingshurst, is actively recruiting a Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to work in a supportive environment, delivering high-quality servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of commercial and passenger vehicles.

Starting salary from £37,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience
Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm, with breaks, promoting a healthy work-life balance

Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance, and inspections on motor and commercial vehicles
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using various diagnostic tools and wiring diagrams
Conduct fault-finding, repairs, and refurbishments on diverse vehicle types including off-road equipment
Assist in pre-delivery inspections on new and pre-owned vehicles
Promote dealership services and products effectively to customers
Attend manufacturer training courses to stay current with the latest vehicle technologies
Complete detailed job cards and work orders accurately
Maintain workshop safety standards and cleanliness
Support junior technicians and apprentices through mentoring and training
Assist with tyre replacements, wheel alignments, and general workshop dutiesRequirements of a Vehicle Technician:
Proven experience as a Service Vehicle Technician or similar role within the motor trade
Strong diagnostic, repair, and routine servicing skills
Familiarity with commercial vehicles, passenger cars, and off-road equipment
Own tools preferred; manufacturer-supplied tools and PPE provided
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Organisational skills to work efficiently under pressure
Flexibility to work various shifts and support out-of-hours work if required
Knowledge or experience of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) is advantageous
