Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Press Brake Operator / Sheet Metal Worker on behalf of our client. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating press brake machinery, supporting laser cutting operations, and carrying out a range of sheet metal fabrication duties to produce high-quality components.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Set up and operate press brake machinery safely and efficiently.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work instructions.
* Manufacture sheet metal components to required tolerances and quality standards.
* Carry out quality control inspections on completed parts.
* Assist with laser cutting operations when required.
* Perform additional fabrication duties including grinding, assembly and general sheet metal work.
* Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures.
* Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production targets and customer requirements.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience operating press brakes, carrying out sheet metal work, or working within a similar engineering environment is preferred.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools associated with sheet metal fabrication.
* Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
* Knowledge of assembly processes relating to sheet metal components.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Hours
* 40 hour week
