Electrical Project Manager
About the Company
Our client is a growing electrical contractor delivering commercial fit-out, refurbishment and construction projects. The business is an Employee Ownership Trust, offering long-term employees the opportunity to benefit from future company success.
Role Overview
The Electrical Project Manager will manage electrical fit-out projects from handover to completion and final account, covering delivery, programme, labour, subcontractors, procurement, variations, reporting and client communication.
The Electrical Project Manager will report to the Projects Director and work closely with Pre-Construction, Design, Procurement, Accounts, Document Control, site supervisors, subcontractors, clients and main contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Manage electrical fit-out projects from handover through to completion and final account
Plan and coordinate labour, subcontractors, suppliers and materials
Monitor project programmes, budgets, costs and profitability
Manage variations, change control and additional works
Review drawings, specifications and technical information
Identify and resolve project, design and delivery risks
Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors and consultants
Provide project updates, reports and accurate documentation
Manage procurement, technical submittals and long-lead items
Ensure works meet health, safety, quality, testing and handover requirementsRequirements
3–5 years’ experience in electrical project management or a comparable delivery role
Experience managing commercial fit-out, refurbishment or construction projects
Strong technical electrical knowledge
Experience managing labour, subcontractors and suppliers
Good commercial understanding, including budgets, variations and cost control
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and programmes
Confident dealing with clients, main contractors and consultants
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
Able to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
Proactive, accountable and able to take ownership with minimal supervisionPreferred Qualifications
Electrical trade background or electrical engineering qualification

Testing and inspection knowledge would be beneficial
Experience using project management systems, document control platforms or Smartsheet-style trackers would be advantageousWhat’s on Offer
Salary of circa £75,000 per annum, plus an uncapped bonus scheme typically returning £20,000+ for the right candidate and level of performance
