Location: London & Home Counties (Slough, Reading, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Hemel Hempstead & Essex)

Salary:
£55,000 per annum with Company Vehicle Provided
£60,000 per annum if using your own Vehicle

Hours: Monday to Friday

The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Surveyor / Supervisor to join a growing social housing maintenance team covering London and the Home Counties.
This is a dual-role position, offering a mixture of both surveying and supervisory responsibilities. The successful candidate will spend time carrying out property inspections, diagnosing building defects, producing reports and schedules of work, whilst also supervising operatives and subcontractors to ensure repairs are delivered to a high standard.
Please note, this is not a hybrid position. The role is fully site-based, requiring travel across occupied residential properties throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct pre-inspections, post-inspections and diagnostic surveys across occupied residential properties.
• Identify and diagnose defects including damp, mould, condensation, leaks, structural issues and general building defects.
• Produce detailed technical reports, specifications and photographic evidence.
• Prepare schedules of work and cost estimates using NHF Schedule of Rates and quoted works where required.
• Specify appropriate remedial works, ensuring root causes are addressed rather than symptoms.
• Supervise operatives, contractors and subcontractors on site.
• Monitor workmanship, productivity, quality standards and health & safety compliance.
• Manage disrepair cases and complex repairs through to completion.
• Carry out quality inspections and sign off completed works.
• Provide technical support and advice to clients, residents and operational teams.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting throughout the lifecycle of repairs.

Requirements
• Proven experience within the Social Housing sector (essential).
• Previous experience in a Surveying, Disrepair Surveying, Maintenance Surveying or Repairs Supervisory position.
• Strong knowledge of responsive repairs, planned maintenance, damp & mould diagnosis and general building maintenance.
• Experience working within occupied residential properties.
• Ability to supervise and manage contractors and direct labour teams.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, reporting and organisational skills.
• Relevant technical, surveying or trade qualifications.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
