Remedy Education are looking for experienced ASD Teacher to work in a lovely Primary SEN school based in Lewisham.
The role role is based in Lewisham, within well established specialist provisions supporting pupils with autism and additional complex needs.
This would suit a teacher who understands autism, can create structure quickly and knows how to make learning accessible for pupils who may need a more personalised approach.
You will be teaching small classes with strong support from experienced teaching assistants. Pupils may have communication needs, sensory needs, learning difficulties and behaviours linked to their diagnosis, so the schools are looking for teachers who are calm, consistent and confident.

What you will be doing:
Teaching pupils with autism and complex needs
Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
Creating clear routines and structure within the classroom

Adapting lessons to meet different abilities and learning styles
Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and familiesWhat we are looking for:
Experience teaching pupils with ASD or complex needs
QTS preferred, but strong SEN teaching experience will be considered
Primary or secondary SEN experience
Strong behaviour management
A calm, patient and resilient approach
Good understanding of visual supports, routines and differentiated learning
