Fit Out Main Contractor - circa £40M turnover
A growing Design & Build fit-out main contractor based in Farringdon is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team.
With a strong pipeline of secured work and an excellent reputation within the commercial interiors sector, the business delivers high-profile CAT A and CAT B office fit-out projects across London for a range of blue-chip and corporate clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who is looking to join a successful and growing contractor where they can develop their career, gain exposure to high-value projects, and progress within the business.
The Role
Working closely with the Pre-Construction and Delivery teams, you will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from tender stage through to final account.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting with cost planning and budget preparation.
* Reviewing tender documentation and subcontractor enquiries.
* Procuring subcontract packages and negotiating costs.
* Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts.
* Managing subcontractor accounts and payments.
* Monitoring project costs and financial performance.
* Producing commercial reports and forecasts.
* Identifying value engineering opportunities.
* Supporting the delivery team with commercial and contractual matters.
* Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Requirements
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
* Experience working for a main contractor, ideally within commercial fit-out, interiors, refurbishment, or Design & Build projects.
* Good understanding of JCT contracts.
* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ambitious, motivated, and keen to develop a long-term career.
