As the college continues to grow and strengthen its provision, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Plumbing Instructor/Demonstrator to join our team at the Bersham Road campus.
The Role
This role supports the delivery of high‑quality practical learning within a modern workshop equipped with industry‑standard tools and technology. You will help learners develop practical skills, confidence and the professional behaviours essential for employment, apprenticeships or further study.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and deliver practical workshop sessions in plumbing
Demonstrate safe and effective working methods
Prepare tools, materials and equipment for sessions
Support learners in developing technical skills such as pipework, jointing methods, domestic plumbing systems, installation techniques and workshop procedures
Maintain a safe, clean and well‑organised workshop
Supervise learners and assist with recording progress where required
Ensure high standards of health and safety, quality and organisation are maintained
If you have relevant industry experience in plumbing, strong practical skills and a passion for supporting the next generation of professionals, we would be delighted to hear from you.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:
A Level 3 qualification or higher in Plumbing or a related field
Relevant commercial or domestic experience in the plumbing industry
The ability to demonstrate practical plumbing skills and safe working methods
The ability to support the planning and delivery of effective workshop sessions
An understanding of current developments in plumbing and building services
Awareness of the importance of quality standards in teaching and assessment
Good IT skills and a willingness to learn new systems
The ability to respond effectively to inappropriate behaviour in a workshop or classroom
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and support learners with a range of practical abilities
The ability to maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop
Essential Welsh language skills for this role
