Finance Manager – Liverpool, up to £55,000 + Benefits
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to join a successful and expanding real estate group based in Liverpool. With a varied portfolio of schemes across the UK and overseas and an annual turnover of approximately £7 million, this is a pivotal role offering significant responsibility and influence within the business.
Reporting directly to the Directors, you will take ownership of the company's finance function, providing robust financial management, strategic insight, and operational support to drive continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Full responsibility for the day-to-day finance function of the business
Production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs
Preparation, monitoring, and management of annual budgets and forecasts
Cash flow management and liquidity planning across multiple property developments
Financial oversight of active schemes located both in the UK and internationally
Preparation, management and reconciliation of service charge budgets and accounts
Monitoring service charge expenditure and ensuring accurate recovery from tenants and occupiers
Production of year-end service charge reconciliations and liaison with managing agents, surveyors and auditors
Ensuring compliance with relevant property accounting regulations and service charge legislation
Variance analysis and provision of commercial recommendations to senior leadership
Management of balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes
Oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
Liaison with external accountants, auditors, tax advisers, banks, managing agents and stakeholders
Ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax obligations
Monitoring project profitability, development costs, and investment performance
Supporting strategic decision-making through financial modelling and analysis
Identifying and implementing improvements to financial systems, controls, and processes
It is essential you are a fully qualified accountant with previous and experience within property, real estate, construction, development, or asset management environments is highly desirable
