Job Summary - Wellingborough
We are seeking a skilled Solar PV Electrician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing photovoltaic solar systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes. Duties
* Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential, in accordance with project specifications and electrical regulations.
* Perform wiring, cabling, and connection of solar panels, inverters, and other electrical components using hand tools and power tools.
* Conduct system inspections and troubleshooting to identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
* Ensure all work is completed safely, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
* Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used for each installation or repair.
* Assist in testing systems post-installation to verify proper operation and performance.
Experience
* Proven experience as an Electrician specialising in solar PV systems or related electrical fields.
* Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and multimeters.
* Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, and crimpers.
* Strong understanding of electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and relevant electrical codes.
* Knowledge of safety procedures related to electrical work and renewable energy installations.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.
* Relevant electrical qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential for experienced candidates willing to learn on the job
