The Role
As part of the maintenance engineering team, you’ll play a key role in keeping production running smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
Repairing and maintaining mechanical systems such as pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Welding and fabricating (MIG & Stick) components and parts for plant machinery – welding is a significant part of this role
Setting up, aligning, and assembling machinery, moulds, and tampers with precision
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency
What We’re Looking For
NVQ Level 2 or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Welding
Proven experience in mechanical maintenance and fitting
Must be a competent welder – MIG & Stick welding are essential and form a large portion of this role
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is an advantage
Proactive, adaptable, and a strong team player with a focus on quality and safety
