Contract/Project
Belmont Recruitment are recruiting a Complex Needs Community Keyworker to join a community-based service supporting women on probation across Hampshire (Travel is required to differing sites so car driver is essential).

This role involves delivering one-to-one, trauma-informed support to women living in the community, as well as women preparing for release from custody. You will support women with complex needs — including housing insecurity, mental health challenges, substance use, domestic abuse and other barriers — helping them to build stability, independence and safer lives away from the criminal justice system.

You will manage your own caseload and work closely with probation, housing services and a wide range of statutory and voluntary partners. The role also includes prison in-reach and “through the gate” support prior to release.

Please note: the role involves a significant amount of case recording and data management (approximately 35% of working time) and requires confidence in lone working and decision-making.

You will be expected to travel across Hampshire, mileage is paid - but driving and access to your own vehicle is essential. Flexible working 2 days a week WFH is also included.

Key responsibilities include:

*

Providing one-to-one advocacy, advice and emotional support to women on probation.

*

Completing needs and risk assessments and regularly reviewing support plans.

*

Delivering prison in-reach and release support, including meeting women at the gate.

*

Supporting women to secure and sustain safe and appropriate accommodation.

*

Working in partnership with probation, housing, social services and other agencies

*

Monitoring engagement, risk and progress, escalating safeguarding concerns where required.

*

Maintaining accurate, timely case records in line with contractual requirements.

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

*

Significant experience working with women experiencing multiple and complex needs or vulnerable people.

*

Strong understanding of issues affecting women involved in the criminal justice system.

*

Experience of casework, advocacy and partnership working.

*

Confidence managing risk and responding to challenging situations.

*

A trauma-informed, non-judgemental and empowering approach.

*

Excellent organisational, administrative and IT skills.

*

Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.

Essential requirements

*

This post is restricted to women under Schedule 9 (Part 1) of the Equality Act 2010.

*

Enhanced DBS check required.

*

Enhanced Level 1 Ministry of Justice vetting via SSCL (or have held this within the last 6 months)

*

Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle and business insurance

Days: Monday - Friday
Contract: Until April 2027
Salary: £19 to £22 per hour

Benefits of working with Belmont Recruitment;

* Single point of contact consultant.

* 24h support.

* Regular communication updates.
