A leading global freight forwarding and logistics specialist is seeking an experienced Sea Freight Export Operator to join its growing operations team. Key Responsibilities

* Prepare accurate and competitive sea freight export quotations tailored to customer requirements

* Liaise with shipping lines, hauliers, overseas agents, and customers to secure the best rates and coordinate shipments effectively

* Manage sea freight export shipments from booking through to completion

* Produce and process all required export documentation, including Bills of Lading, customs entries, manifests, and shipping instructions

* Monitor shipment progress and proactively communicate updates, delays, and issues to customers

* Ensure all export activities comply with international shipping regulations and customs requirements

* Maintain shipment profitability through accurate costing, margin control, and file management

* Review supplier invoices, resolve discrepancies, and ensure all charges are correctly recorded and passed for payment

* Act as the main point of contact for customer enquiries via phone and email

* Work closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth and efficient shipment movement

* Provide additional operational support as required

Skills & Experience

* Previous experience as a Sea Freight Export Operator, Export Coordinator, Export Clerk, Freight Forwarder, or similar role within freight forwarding or logistics

* Strong knowledge of sea freight export operations and procedures

* Experience handling export documentation, including Bills of Lading, customs entries, manifests, and shipping instructions

* Knowledge of LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments would be advantageous

* Ability to manage shipments from quotation through to invoicing and file closure

* Strong communication skills with experience dealing directly with customers, shipping lines, hauliers, and overseas agents

* Excellent organisational and time management skills

* Ability to work effectively under pressure and resolve operational challenges

* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
