ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
Newtown | Full Time, Permanent | £35,000 – £45,000 per year + Overtime Available
Monday – Friday | 7:00am – 4:00pm
Role Overview
A local manufacturing business in Newtown is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its growing team. This role involves maintaining production and packing equipment, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, and responding to machinery breakdowns to ensure operations run efficiently. The successful candidate will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the business.
Key Responsibilities
*
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and equipment
*
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
*
Respond to machinery breakdowns and minimise downtime
*
Conduct safety and quality inspections
*
Maintain and repair production and packing equipment
*
Support continuous improvement projects and process enhancements
*
Ensure maintenance activities are completed in line with health and safety standards
Skills & Experience
*
Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
*
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*
Full UK driving licence
*
Good understanding of health and safety practices
Desirable:
*
18th Edition (BS 7671)
*
City & Guilds Inspection & Testing qualification
*
PLC and control panel experience
