£28k - £30k Annual
Full-Time
Founded in 1989, our client brings high end, unique and elegant window dressing solutions to the most challenging of projects. From traditional and luxurious designs to bold, contemporary looks, they enhance every window to realise their client’s vision.
Our client is a Berkshire based curtain and blind design studio specialising in delivering innovative and luxurious window dressing projects with a keen eye for detail. They work with private clients and interior designers across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Oxford and London. For all clients they ensure that every design is individually tailored to deliver beautiful and creative window dressing.
The Role
This is a genuinely two-part job, and that's what makes it dynamic and never dull!
In the Studio
• Quality-checking every order before it leaves the studio
• Dressing, steaming and ironing curtains and blinds to perfection
• Preparing and packing for installation days
• Working alongside the team on production days
Out on the Road
• Installing curtain tracks, poles, blinds and curtains at client properties
• Representing the business in clients homes
• Solving the small problems that come up on every installation
• Building confidence and expertise with every job
You'll start with full training from their experienced contractor, who will work alongside you
until you're confident and capable on your own. No prior fitting experience is needed — but
you do need to be comfortable using power tools and happy driving to client sites
independently.
Essential Requirements
• Full UK driving licence
• Comfortable and confident using power tools (drills, fixings, levels)
• Happy working independently and managing your own time on the road
• A genuine eye for detail and care over the finished result
• Physically able to lift, carry and work at height on ladders or steps
Who We're Looking For
You don't need a background in soft furnishings. You might be re-training, returning to work
after a break, or looking for a change from a job that wasn't quite right. What matters is your
attitude and your aptitude.
• Practical & Capable — You're at ease with tools, flat-pack logic and making things
straight and secure.
• Detail Obsessed — You notice when something isn't quite right — and you fix it before
anyone else sees it.
• Client Confident — You're comfortable in someone's home, professional and
personable in equal measure.
• Self Sufficient — You enjoy time working alone and don't need constant supervision to
stay on task.
• A Problem Solver — When something doesn't go to plan, you work through it calmly
and find the answer.
• A Team Player — Studio days mean working closely with a small, busy team. You
bring good energy
