Team Manager - Family Safegaurding

Job Purpose

To provide effective leadership and management to a Family Safeguarding Team delivering high-quality social work services to children, young people, and families. The Team Manager will ensure that practice is child-centred, strengths-based, and focused on improving outcomes through multi-agency collaboration, safeguarding, and early intervention.

The Team Manager will oversee operational delivery, supervise practitioners, manage performance, and ensure statutory responsibilities are fulfilled in line with legislation, local authority policies, and best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and motivate a multidisciplinary Family Safeguarding Team.
Promote a culture of restorative and relationship-based practice.
Provide clear direction, support, and professional challenge to staff.
Ensure high standards of practice and compliance with statutory requirements.
Support workforce development, learning, and continuous improvement.
