Our client, a leading consultancy, is currently seeking a skilled Senior Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to apply your expertise in wastewater modelling to critical environmental and planning initiatives. You will be pivotal in developing and analysing hydraulic models, creating actionable strategies, and exploring innovative approaches to urban water management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the review, updating, and calibration of complex Integrated Catchment Models (ICM) using diverse data sources, ensuring model accuracy and reliability for critical project decisions
Plan and supervise asset flow surveys and other field investigations to acquire high-quality data necessary for model development
Drive the optioneering process by using modelling insights to identify, evaluate, and develop potential solutions
Manage ICM modelling programmes, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining high technical standards and effectively managing resources and stakeholders
Job Requirements:
Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or a related scientific discipline
Extensive hands-on experience and advanced proficiency with ICM modelling software
Substantial experience working directly for or on behalf of a water or sewerage undertaker
Robust understanding of wastewater network assets theory and operation
Excellent report writing and numerical skills
A highly collaborative and proactive mindset, with the ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams
Capability for independent work, with a high degree of technical judgment
Experience in mentoring and developing junior modellers, providing technical guidance and support
