Hybrid – approximately 95% home-based, with office attendance required only when necessary
Lynx Employment Services are recruiting for an experienced SEN Casework Officer to join a busy Special Educational Needs team on a temporary basis.
This role involves managing statutory Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) and EHCP processes, supporting annual reviews, drafting EHCPs, preparing cases for panel consideration, liaising with parents, schools and professionals, and ensuring statutory deadlines are met.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to manage a demanding caseload, and confident working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Essential Experience & Skills
Experience managing SEN/EHCP casework
Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, SEND Regulations and the Children and Families Act
Experience working to statutory timescales and deadlines
Excellent written communication and report-writing skills
Ability to manage a large and complex caseload
Experience working with families, schools, health and social care professionals
Confident facilitating multi-agency meetings
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Enhanced DBS required
Additional Information
Start required within 2 weeks
Predominantly remote working
Occasional office attendance may be required to meet business needs
Enhanced DBS check required
