Workshop Recruitment is supporting a well-established engineering and manufacturing business within the high-performance marine sector that is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller to join its growing team in Southampton.
This CNC Miller role offers the opportunity to work on bespoke components and innovative engineering projects rather than repetitive production work. You'll be producing one-off and small-batch parts in materials including aluminium and titanium, working within a modern workshop equipped with advanced CNC machining and inspection technology.
Key Responsibilities
Set, program and operate CNC milling machines.
Produce one-off and small-batch machined components.
Work from engineering drawings and CAD/CAM data.
Prove out, edit and optimise CNC programs.
Machine complex components to tight tolerances.
Carry out in-process inspection and quality checks.
Maintain tooling, fixtures and machine performance.
Support continuous improvement within the machining department.
Skills & Knowledge Required
Proven experience as a CNC Miller.
Strong programming, setting and operating capability.
Experience with 3, 4 or 5-axis CNC machining.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience machining aluminium and other engineering materials.
Quality-focused with excellent attention to detail.
CAD/CAM experience desirable.
Background in marine, aerospace, motorsport, defence or similar engineering sectors advantageous.
