This opportunity is designed for individuals considering a future in teaching and provides invaluable classroom experience before progressing onto formal teacher training.
You'll gain hands-on experience supporting students, working alongside experienced teachers, and developing the skills and confidence required to succeed in the classroom.
About the Role
As part of the Graduate Teaching Programme, you will become an integral member of the school community, supporting teaching and learning across a range of subjects and year groups.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting students during lessons to maximise engagement and achievement
Delivering targeted intervention sessions to small groups and individual pupils
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
Helping students overcome barriers to learning
Encouraging positive behaviour and participation
Building strong professional relationships with students and staff
Developing your understanding of teaching strategies and educational practice
This role offers excellent exposure to secondary education and is ideal preparation for future teacher training pathways such as a PGCE, School Direct, or apprenticeship route.
