PSV Technician / Bus Mechanic / HGV Technician
Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £23.00 - £25.00 per hour
Are you an experienced PSV Technician, Bus Mechanic, PCV Engineer or HGV Technician looking for a new permanent opportunity in the Watford area?
We are currently recruiting for a skilled PSV Technician to join a busy engineering team maintaining and repairing buses and coaches. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician seeking a stable, long-term position with a reputable operator.
The Role
As a PSV Technician, Bus Mechanic or PCV Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Servicing, repairing and maintaining buses and coaches
* Carrying out routine vehicle inspections and safety checks
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
* Completing preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
* Ensuring vehicles meet DVSA and company compliance standards
* Accurately completing workshop documentation and inspection records
* Supporting fleet reliability and vehicle availability
Shift Pattern
* Week 1: 6:00am – 4:00pm
* Week 2: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Requirements
To be considered for this PSV Technician position, you should have:
* NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
* Previous experience as a PSV Technician, Bus Mechanic, Coach Technician, PCV Engineer, HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic
* Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* A positive attitude and strong commitment to vehicle safety
