Join our snack-loving team
We’re looking for a Maintenance Lead to join us at KP Snacks. If you’re ready to bring your ideas to the table, grow your skills and be part of a team that values what makes you, you – this could be your next big move.

About the role

As a Maintenance Lead, you’ll be the lead Maintenance Engineer for a production area and part of a close-knit leadership team alongside the Process Lead and Line Lead. Your focus will be on delivering robust maintenance processes that reduce machine stoppages and ensure the right asset care strategies are in place for every piece of equipment.

You’ll lead and coach the area team to deliver true Autonomous Maintenance, review losses, develop action plans and drive sustained improvement. You’ll also play a key role in supporting our zero loss journey by building the right engineering capability, delivering your own improvement activity and supporting larger capital projects within your area.

What’s in it for you?
We believe in rewarding our colleagues and helping them thrive. Here’s a flavour of what we offer:

Competitive annual salary

Comprehensive healthcare support – including Medicash Health Cash Plan, Digital GP, Best Doctors second opinion service and specialist cancer care

KP Pension Plan – contribution matching up to 7% of your salary

25 days holiday, plus the option to buy more

KP4ME – our online platform for benefits, discounts, wellbeing tools and more

What will you be doing?

Leading maintenance planning and scheduling activities, including Daily Maintenance meetings, weekly scheduling and monthly maintenance planning in line with the annual maintenance plan

Reviewing breakdowns and preventing reoccurrence by identifying root causes and deploying effective countermeasures

Driving Daily Direction Setting (DDS) by providing clear updates on breakdowns and maintenance performance from the previous 24 hours

Building maintenance capability within your area, coaching colleagues to deliver Autonomous Maintenance activities such as Clean, Inspect and Lubricate, Defect Handling and Centrelining

Supporting continuous improvement and capital projects, contributing to the Progressive Maintenance and Autonomous Maintenance pillars and delivering measurable, sustained results

Who are we?
We’re KP Snacks, part of the Intersnack family. Across more than 30 countries, over 15,000 of us work together to make the snacks people love – from Hula Hoops to McCoy’s. In the UK, we’re a team of around 2,400 colleagues, based across seven sites and our Slough HQ. We’re proud of our close-knit culture, where we speak up, celebrate differences and push boundaries together.

We’re committed to inclusion
We’re building a workplace where everyone belongs. If you don’t tick every box, we’d still love to hear from you – your unique perspective could be just what we need. And if there’s anything we can do to make the process easier for you, just let us know.

We’d love to hear from you if you can bring:

A minimum level 3 electrical qualification with hands-on experience and strong practical engineering knowledge

Proven engineering and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to lead technical discussions and decisions

Experience of working in a TPM or RCM maintenance environment, applying structured maintenance strategies

An understanding of Lean tools and techniques to support continuous improvement activity

Coaching or people development experience, with the ability to motivate and build capability across a team
