We're looking for a Highways Engineer to join our team based in Salford.

Location: Optimum House, Clippers Quay, Salford, M50 3XP - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 37.5 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Highways Engineer, you'll be working within the Design team, supporting them in delivering high-quality highway schemes. You'll play an important part in delivering innovative solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working on exciting schemes including the National Highways SDF Framework, Legacy Concrete Roads Reconstruction Framework, and major projects such as the A66 Northern Trans-Pennine and A417 mssing link, you'll contribute to our 360 approach to design and construction.

Your day to day will include:

Preparing technical design drawings, specifications and reports in line with DMRB and relevant standards

Taking responsibility for delivering highway studies and smaller schemes with minimal supervision

Collaborating closely with senior team members on major projects, taking ownership of key design elements

Undertaking site visits and liaising with clients, statutory bodies and stakeholders to maintain excellent relationships

Using AutoCAD to provide innovative engineering solutions whilst ensuring quality standards are met

What are we looking for?

This role of Highways Engineer is great for you if:

You hold a Civil Engineering degree or similar combination of qualifications and experience

You're experienced in using AutoCAD and have working knowledge of DMRB standards

You're working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer accreditation with a relevant professional body

You have experience delivering a range of projects and communicating technical information clearly

You hold a valid driving licence and CSCS card
