Job Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading packaging manufacturing company based in Stoke Ferry. The business is continuing to invest heavily into the site and is looking to strengthen its engineering team with the addition of a skilled Maintenance Engineer on a permanent nights shift.

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of packaging and production machinery, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime across the factory.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer looking for a long-term role within a stable and growing manufacturing environment offering strong earning potential.

Non-Negotiable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

Engineering Qualification / Apprenticeship
Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing
Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
Ability to work permanent nights
Manufacturing or production environment experience

Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across site
Responding quickly and effectively to machinery breakdowns
Fault finding on production and packaging equipment
Supporting continuous improvement projects
Ensuring engineering documentation is completed accurately
Working closely with production teams to maximise machine performance
Maintaining high health and safety standards at all times

Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

Packaging industry experience
Engineering qualification
PLC fault-finding experience
Multi-skilled engineering background
Experience working with automated production machinery
