Field Service Engineer
UK Travel Required – The majority of client sites sit around the Midlands (Nottingham/Birmingham), Manchester and Liverpool areas, however you must be prepared to travel nationally Mon – Friday.
Permanent | £48,000 + OTE £60,000
If you’re an engineer who enjoys fault finding, working independently and getting stuck into real world problems on site, this is a role worth looking at.

What you’ll be doing
- Attending breakdowns and diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
- Carrying out servicing, repairs and planned maintenance
- Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Working on automated machinery including electrical controls, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Representing the business on site and building strong relationships with customers
What’s important for this role
- Strong fault finding experience across Electrical and Mechanical systems
- Confident working on breakdowns and solving problems independently
- Some exposure to PLC fault finding is highly desirable
- Experience with automated machinery, CNC, robotics or similar equipment
- Comfortable reading technical drawings and working methodically
What you need to be comfortable with
- Regular UK travel and staying away during the week
- Working autonomously on customer sites
- Taking ownership of jobs and seeing them through
