Salary: £95 - £105 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and supportive mainstream Primary School in Gateshead, who are looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant. The school promotes an inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to thrive, with a dedicated team committed to providing high-quality support and education.
The school is looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will work flexibly across both EYFS and KS2, providing tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve positive outcomes both academically and socially.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children with SEND within a school setting
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
• Experience supporting pupils across EYFS and/or KS2
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
