A specialist roofing and cladding contractor delivering a significant package on one of Edinburgh's flagship residential developments are looking for an experienced Project Manager or Contracts Manager to start ASAP.
The right candidate understands how to operate within a Tier 1 contractor environment and can protect programme, commercial position and contractual entitlement throughout the project lifecycle.
This is not a site manager role.
We already have specialist and experienced operational management in place. We need someone who can manage the contract, track delays, challenge programme impacts, maintain robust records, and ensure the business is protected at every stage of the project.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead all contractual and project management activities.
• Interface directly with the main contractor and project team.
• Monitor programme performance and identify risks early.
• Maintain detailed contemporaneous records of delays, disruptions and change events.
• Issue notices, track variations and support extension of time submissions.
• Attend and lead progress meetings.
• Coordinate project delivery alongside the Roofing Manager.
• Protect the company's commercial and contractual interests throughout the project.
The Ideal Candidate
• Experience managing roofing, cladding, façade or building envelope packages is preferred
• Experience working with Tier 1 main contractors on major residential or commercial projects.
• Excellent knowledge of programme management, delay analysis and contractual documentation.
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong communicator capable of challenging issues professionally and effectively.
