We are working with a well-established specialist training provider in Birmingham who is looking to appoint an experienced and proactive Quality Manager to support the continued development of teaching, learning, assessment and learner support across their provision.

You will play a key role in ensuring learners receive a high-quality experience from recruitment and onboarding through to achievement, while supporting tutors, assessors and managers to deliver consistently strong outcomes.

The Role

As Quality Manager, you will take a lead role in quality assurance, safeguarding support, staff development, awarding body liaison and continuous improvement across the provision.

You will work closely with senior leaders, curriculum teams, tutors and assessors to ensure high standards are maintained, best practice is shared, and the organisation remains inspection-ready.

This is a hands-on, varied role where you will be trusted to influence quality, support colleagues and help shape the learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

* Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer, supporting a safe and inclusive learning environment.

* Lead on awarding body relationships, including quality visits and qualification compliance.

* Carry out observations of teaching, learning and assessment both in centre and on site.

* Plan and deliver CPD sessions for teaching and assessment staff.

* Deliver annual staff training in Equality & Diversity, Prevent and Safeguarding.

* Chair and coordinate standardisation meetings across the provision.

* Quality assure key learner journey stages, including recruitment, onboarding and induction.

* Mentor and support new teaching and learning staff alongside departmental managers.

* Support the development of advice and guidance across the provision, including careers education, Gatsby benchmarks and IAG.

* Contribute to Matrix accreditation activity.

* Support apprenticeship promotion at careers and school events.

* Assist with apprentice candidate interviews where required.

* Work with directors and senior managers to support Ofsted readiness and compliance.

* Develop and manage a CPD timetable for teaching and learning staff.

* Support self-assessment activity and staff development planning.

* Deliver relevant qualifications to staff, such as AET, CAVA, DET, IQA and Advice & Guidance qualifications.

About You

We are looking for someone who is confident, organised and quality-focused, with a genuine commitment to improving learner outcomes and supporting staff development.

You will ideally have experience within apprenticeships, further education or work-based learning, and be comfortable working across quality assurance, teaching and learning, safeguarding, compliance and curriculum support.

You will bring:

* Strong knowledge of quality assurance within education and training.

* Experience supporting tutors, assessors or curriculum teams.

* A good understanding of safeguarding, Prevent, Equality & Diversity and learner support.

* Confidence working with awarding bodies and external quality processes.

* Experience of observations, standardisation and CPD delivery.

* Knowledge of Ofsted expectations and quality improvement processes.

* Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.

* A flexible, positive and hands-on approach.

Experience with Functional Skills, apprenticeships, Matrix, Gatsby benchmarks, IQA processes or advice and guidance would be highly beneficial.
