Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer
📍 Horsham, West Sussex (Onsite)
Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment?
We’re looking for a proactive Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer to play a key role in supporting cutting-edge production processes and ensuring the reliability of critical manufacturing equipment. The Role
This is a varied role combining planned maintenance, reactive support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering and managing a robust planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programme
* Diagnosing and resolving equipment breakdowns quickly and effectively
* Supporting the installation, commissioning, and optimisation of new equipment and processes
* Using machine data and performance metrics to identify trends and drive improvements
* Managing critical spare parts inventory to minimise downtime
* Coordinating and overseeing external contractors and service providers
* Implementing upgrades and modifications to improve equipment performance and efficiency
You’ll play a critical part in ensuring production runs smoothly while also contributing to the evolution of the manufacturing capability.
What We’re Looking For
* Engineering qualification or strong hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostics across:
* PLC-controlled equipment
* Electrical and mechanical systems
* Pneumatics and hydraulics
* Experience working with Permits to Work and RAMS
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
