Job Title: M&E Technical Manager (Building Regulations)
Location: London (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £75,000 to £85,000 + Package

As the Technical Designer (Building Regulations), you will lead compliance and design delivery across retail banking fit-out projects nationwide. You will ensure Building Regulations compliance, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and deliver high-quality design solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Requirements:
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced fit-out environment.
Experience coordinating and reviewing inputs from architectural, MEP, fire safety, structural, security, and specialist design teams.
Ability to analyse, challenge, and verify drawings, specifications, and technical evidence.
Strong understanding of compliance documentation, change control, audit trails, and Golden Thread requirements.
Ability to demonstrate PAS 8671-level competence or equivalent Principal Designer competence.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with Common Data Environments (CDEs).DUTIES
Reporting to the Account Director
Lead Building Regulations compliance activities across multiple retail banking fit-out projects from design through to completion.
Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to ensure designs are fully integrated, compliant, and aligned with project requirements.
Review and assess technical information, identifying compliance risks and implementing effective solutions.
Manage compliance records, design documentation, and audit trails to support regulatory requirements and project governance.
Liaise with Building Control, clients, contractors, and specialist consultants to facilitate approvals and maintain compliance standards.
Monitor design changes and ensure appropriate controls, approvals, and documentation are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Produce and develop technical drawings, layouts, and detailed design information for retail banking environments.
Conduct site surveys, design reviews, and technical assessments to verify project requirements and design accuracy.
Support project delivery by providing technical guidance, resolving design queries, and coordinating specialist inputs.
