Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a passionate and dedicated KS4 SEN Teacher to work within a specialist SEN school. You will be supporting students aged 14-16 with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and a range of additional needs, helping them prepare for adulthood in a structured, nurturing, and supportive environment.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference, delivering engaging and personalised learning that supports both academic progress and life skills development.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to KS4 students with SEN
Adapt the curriculum to meet a range of learning needs, including Autism and moderate to severe learning difficulties
Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets
Support students' communication, social, emotional, and behavioural development
Prepare pupils for adulthood, including functional skills, independence, and employability skills
Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes engagement and well-being
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider school staff to support holistic development
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working with KS3/KS4 students with SEN, particularly Autism and Learning Disabilities
Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient, and adaptable approach
Understanding of EHCPs and SEN best practices within a specialist setting
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
Legal right to work in the UK
