Job Overview
Our client are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dry Liner to join their construction team on a site in Croydon. In this role, you will be responsible for boxing in works on walls to allow fire stoppers to complete their work, then make good on / finish the wall again. Works are on a CIS self employed basis and based on one site, no travel between sites required. The works will run for around 2 weeks

Responsibilities

* Measure, cut, and install drywall panels using hand tools and power tools with precision and care

* Ensure all drywall is securely fastened to framing structures using appropriate mechanical fasteners

* Prepare surfaces by measuring, marking, and aligning drywall sheets for seamless installation

* Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and disposing of debris regularly

* Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks to meet project deadlines efficiently

* Use forklift or other warehouse equipment as needed to transport materials safely within the site

* Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to ensure standards are met and rectify any issues promptly

Skills

* Proven experience as a Dry Liner or in a similar construction or manufacturing role involving drywall installation

* Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with assembly line processes in a manufacturing facility

* Skilled in using hand tools such as drills, saws, tape measures, and screw guns; experience with power tools is essential

* Warehouse experience including the operation of forklifts or other lifting equipment is highly desirable

* Ability to read technical drawings, measurements, and blueprints accurately

* Knowledge of factory procedures, safety protocols, and proper handling of materials in a manufacturing environment

* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across different departments
