Contract/Project
About the Role
An excellent contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a civils project based in Necton, Norfolk. This is a long-term contract position offering a competitive, negotiable day rate for the right candidate, available through either a Ltd Company or CIS arrangement.
You’ll be joining a well-established site with a strong supporting team around you — both on the ground and commercially — meaning you can focus on what you do best. The core requirement for this role is exceptional project and programme management capability, but make no mistake, you’ll need real, hands-on experience in civils, formwork, and structures to hit the ground running and command the respect of the team around you.
If you’re a switched-on, delivery-focused Project Manager who knows their way around a civils site, this is a brilliant opportunity to step into a well-supported role and make it your own.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead project and programme management across the full duration of the works
* Plan and manage day-to-day site operations including labour, plant, and materials
* Produce and maintain 4-week look-ahead programmes to keep the project running smoothly
* Prepare temporary works design briefs and oversee their review and acceptance
* Maintain the project risk register and proactively communicate potential impacts
* Accurately record delays and issue Early Warning Notices (EWNs) to support the commercial team
* Read and interpret technical drawings, getting ahead of issues before they become problems
* Ensure all works are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard
What We’re Looking For
* A strong project and programme manager first and foremost — someone who can plan, organise, and drive delivery
* Solid, hands-on experience in the civils sector with proven knowledge of formwork, reinforcement, and concrete structures — this is non-negotiable
* Previous experience on renewables projects is a real advantage
* A background with Tier 1 contractors would be beneficial
* Comfortable with project management software and day-to-day IT tools
* Strong communicator with excellent organisational and problem-solving ability
* Hands-on, proactive, and ready to integrate quickly into an existing team
What You’ll Be Joining
You won’t be going it alone. This role comes with the full backing of an experienced site team and a capable commercial department, giving you the structure and support to deliver successfully from day one
