Project Manager - Athlone, on site, full time, permanent.
Role purpose: To coordinate and drive delivery of a major technical construction package for a pharmaceutical client, from planning and design coordination through programme, subcontractor control, quality, safety, cost awareness and handover.
Core responsibilities
* Develop and manage project programme, sequencing, logistics and short-term lookaheads.
* Coordinate design information release, RFIs, technical queries and multidisciplinary interfaces.
* Chair coordination, subcontractor and technical meetings where required.
* Lead site operations and package coordination to maintain programme, safety and quality.
* Work with commercial teams on procurement, cost control, forecasting and value management.
* Provide progress reports, risk logs, KPI updates and stakeholder communications.
* Lead and mentor site managers, engineers, supervisors and package teams.
Required experience
* 5-10+ years in project management, senior engineering or package coordination with a main contractor.
* Track record on medium-to-large construction projects, ideally EUR 10m-EUR 150m+.
* Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering or related field, or strong equivalent experience.
* Strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, programme control, procurement and contract understanding.
* Life sciences/pharma or high-spec industrial project exposure.
* Experience coordinating internal architectural finishes, M&E interfaces, clean construction behaviours, permits and live-site constraints.
This role is client dedicated, full time and on-site in Athlone, Ireland.
