Type: Initially 3-6 Month Contract
Salary: £14 - £17 per hour PAYE + holiday pay
Hybrid Working: 2 days per week on-site across Aston and Stirchley
Location: Birmingham

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant on behalf of a public sector organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy Financial team within a fast-paced environment, supporting the delivery of key financial and administrative services across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

* Undertake a range of Financial Operations activities in line with established procedures and processes
* Support the delivery of an efficient and effective customer-focused service
* Monitor workloads and priorities, ensuring accurate and timely outputs
* Assist with the supervision and support of team members where required
* Analyse information and resolve issues, escalating where appropriate
* Produce management information and support reporting requirements
* Organise and support meetings, ensuring accurate records are maintained
* Manage and process financial and administrative information accurately and confidentially
* Work flexibly across the wider team to support service delivery and business needs

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

* Experience within a financial operations, finance administration, or business support environment
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
* Experience analysing information and providing solution-focused responses
* Ability to work independently and make decisions on less routine matters
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience supervising staff or coordinating workloads would be advantageous
